Sandy Beach is best known as a "Family Beach."  Children enjoy the mounds of sand and gentle sloping water. Parents enjoy the lovely shade trees and picnic tables. Sandy Beach also has public restrooms and is free of charge. Sandy Beach is a day use facility. There are no camping facilities.

Sandy Beach offers a public beach for swimming, picnic areas, sand volleyball and a pavillion that can be reserved for special gatherings. With plenty of shade trees surrounding the picnic areas, it is used frequently for family gatherings and birthday parties. Day use facility only.
